A Kid Band who love Rock and Metal

Youtuber Audrey & Kates’ interview.

audrey123talks is a dynamic duo of two sisters, Audrey (older sister) and Kate (younger sister), from Japan, on Youtube. When you look at their YouTube history, they started the channel in 2010 which was mostly of Audrey’s paintings. During it’s course, Audrey and Kate started playing instruments…. Nowadays they are playing and covering hard rock and heavy metal bands. Their channel surpassed 110 subscribers (Oct. 2018). Not only that, they have been on numerous television shows. We are sure you guys have seen them somewhere on the web or on TV.

Although they upload frequently, a large part of them is still a mystery. We have succeeded in interviewing them about their music tastes and what they are like.

Why did you start uploading on YT?

A: It started as a way to share how we are doing with our grandpa in America. With YT he can see it from anywhere you know? We tried to upload every day so he can see what we are up to. 

K: Because it’s fun!

That’s great your grandpa can see how you guys are doing. What are some of the things you always remember or focus on when you record?

A: To have fun and say “bye” at the end.

K: I don’t think about much.

I see. I notice you guys upload a lot of hard rock and heavy metal videos. You guys are so young and yet rock. When did you guys start playing?

A: When I was 8 or so.

K: Who knows.

A: I think she was 6 or something.

Sorry to ask but how old are you guys?

A: I’m 14 and Kate is 9.

You guys are so young! Yet your song choices are so tasteful. How do you know all these bands/music?

A: It’s from a game called Rocksmith. I learned guitar and bass from it.

Looks like a fun game. I see that it has been 8 years since you guys started the channel. It passed 100k. How does it feel?

A: I am really happy. I hope we can do more and get 1million subs someday.

K: Oh, it’s going to be a lot more.

Please tell me what was the most surprising thing so far in your journey.

A: I think it was when we were invited to play at Nihon TV. We had NEVER played anywhere else except in our rooms for YouTube. I was a bit nervous.

What do you guys do when you are not recording?

A: Drawing and gaming.

K: Gaming and playing with plushies.

Who’s your favorite artists/musicians?

A: Halestorm who will be playing at Download Festival Japan 2019.

K: Trivium! We got a present from Matt. It made us so happy because we had covered their song, “In Waves.”

That must have felt amazing!! Are there any artists or YouTubers who you would like to do collaboration?

Audrey: Dragonforce and YouTubers like Jared Dines and 331Erock.

Kate: Queen, Judas Priest and DanTDM

Now, you guys play as a duo. Would you want to be in a band someday?

Audrey: If Kate is with me!

Kate: I think we are ok the way we are.

I see. You have released original songs. Please tell me your plans.

A: We have made 6 songs already. We hope to make more originals and maybe release an album.

Looking forward to that. Is there any place you would like to visit? 

A: I want to visit France because I am studying French now.

K: SPACE!!

You guys had started uploading on YT before this YouTube got huge. What do you think about all the YouTubers nowadays?

A: I see originality in a lot of videos. They are fun. I enjoy watching them.

K: Everybody watches what they love. I only watch Minecraft videos.

Great! Please tell us your resolution.

A: I want to be a guitarist who can play right or left freely. And finish our 1st album.

K: BOWLING…!!!
